School Banking Program

Financial skills to last a lifetime

Just like English, Maths, Science and Arts, learning about money is an essential part of every student’s education.

Through our School Banking program, and the Commonwealth Bank Foundation’s StartSmart Primary financial literacy program, your school has an easy, fun and interactive way to teach students money management skills now that they’ll use for the rest of their lives.

Our School Banking program has been reinvigorated so it’s now even more exciting for students. We’ve introduced a great Rewards Program that promotes regular savings behaviour. Every time a child makes a deposit, regardless of how much, they receive a cool Dollarmites token. These tokens can then be exchanged for gifts of varying value. The more tokens the child saves, the greater the value of the gift.

Our commitment to financial literacy

For over 70 years, we have a proud tradition of helping generations of young Australians learn about the importance of saving and smart money management.

We are the only bank to offer such an extensive school banking and financial literacy program. We currently have approximately 2,500 schools across Australia and 91,600 students enrolled in our School Banking program.

Our vision is for every child to be financially literate.
