CommBank is proud to announce a $100,000 donation to We Are Mobilise, an Australian charity dedicated to solving homelessness through its innovative direct giving programs and employment pathway.

The donation was made possible through CommBank ambassador, Nedd Brockmann and the 2025 instalment of Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge (NUC), a nationwide movement that raises funds and awareness for Australians experiencing homelessness.

What is Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge?

Taking place from 20 to 29 October 2025, NUC encourages Australians to step out of their comfort zones for 10 days to raise funds and awareness for homelessness through the charity We are Mobilise. Participants choose their own “uncomfortable challenge” – think running a certain distance per day, cold showers, no social media – and share their journey to inspire donations. In 2024, NUC raised enough money to fund over 370 years of housing and has the goal to transform 10,000 lives by 2030.

Nedd Brockmann, athlete, motivational speaker and CommBank ambassador said: “I’m absolutely stoked to be working with CommBank, and beyond proud to have them backing the Uncomfortable Challenge again this year. Their support means we can reach more Aussies doing it tough, and that means the world. This donation is going to help us have a real impact - let's keep pushing towards our goal of raising $10 million to support people experiencing homelessness.”

Noah Yang, CEO and Founder of We Are Mobilise said: “On any night, more than 122,000 people are experiencing homelessness in Australia – and what we see on the streets is only 6% of Australia’s homeless population. This donation from CommBank is more than just funding – it’s a powerful show of belief in the thousands of Australians who are stepping up to make a difference. With their support, we can scale our direct giving programs, getting more people into housing and ultimately setting them up to begin writing their own next chapter. It’s community backing like this that turns hope into action.”

Following a $100,000 donation for the NUC fundraising efforts of teenage runner Hugo Russell in 2024, CommBank will be donating $100,000 again in 2025, which will be split to support 10 fundraisers this year.

Nine Network's A Current Affair joined Nedd to announce two of the ten recipients below:

About Natalia Hogan

Natalia is undertaking a mammoth challenge this year – running 170km in 24 hours from Sydney to Newcastle. As a child, Natalia spent much of her childhood in foster care, youth refuges and unstable housing, and she now wants to give back, supporting the work of those in Newcastle who supported her when she needed it.

About Andrew Regan

In April 2022, Andrew “Reegs” Regan suffered a life-changing spinal injury playing for the mighty Orange Emus. After almost a year of intensive rehabilitation, Reegs was told he shouldn’t expect a major recovery and was defined a quadriplegic. Through sheer determination and strength, Reegs returned to the oval where his injury took place three years later and was assisted in walking 100m across the field. Now, he’s undertaking a major feat – 100m every day for 10 days, to raise money for We Are Mobilise.
