Telephone banking

Whether you're at home, at the office or even on the move, you can bank quickly, easily and securely over your touch tone telephone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

To use telephone banking, simply call 13 2221. Have your account or card number and telephone banking password ready so we can assist you quickly.

 

We're also making a number of exciting changes to 13 2221. In addition to using Telephone Banking you can also call 13 2221 for any card, loan or NetBank enquiries. Download the new Telephone Banking menu today.

You can use telephone banking to:

  • Obtain information on your accounts, including account balances and details of recent transactions.
  • You can also obtain loan repayment details and check your credit card limits
  • Order a statement for any account
  • Transfer funds between your linked Commonwealth Bank accounts, including passbooks, home loans or credit cards
  • Use BPAY® to pay bills to over 6,000 participating organisations2
  • Obtain foreign exchange rates for seven major currencies: US dollar, British pound, Euro, Singapore dollar, Hong Kong dollar, Japanese yen and New Zealand dollar
  • Activate cards or change passwords. Simply call 13 2221 and follow the prompts

 

Hearing or speech impaired customers

A telephone typewriter (TTY) service covering all the services on 13 2221 is available by on Freecall3 1800 240 889 between 8am and 8pm (Sydney time), Monday to Friday.

 

General and Credit card enquiries

Our Customer Service Representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They can set up your password and explain the automated service, as well as help you with other general enquiries like reporting lost or stolen cards, ordering a past statement, stopping a cheque, changing personal details and more.

 

Set up access for telephone banking

All you need is a touch tone phone and password. To obtain a password on your personal account, simply call 13 2221, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

13 2224 Home Loan Hotline

Soon you'll be able to use a self service menu to obtain information on your home loan, including account balances, repayment details and interest details. To use the self service menu simply have your home loan account number and telephone banking password with you when you call.
