Taking out a joint home loan to buy your dream house is a great idea. But we know it can sometimes be a challenge finding the time to come into a branch and sign documents together.
That’s why we've introduced a Method of Operation on your home loan. This means you can choose who and how you’d like to operate your loan day-to-day.
If you choose 'Any to Operate', both of you become authorised to operate on the loan account. This means only one of you is needed to authorise changes to your loan repayments, make a Repayment Redraw, agree to a Repayment Holiday, or switch to another type of home loan.
Best of all, if you choose 'Any to Operate', you can then apply for electronic access to your loan. This means you can link your Commonwealth Bank EFTPOS card, Debit MasterCard or Credit Card to your loan and be able to access and redraw your funds.
If you don't let us know how you’d like your loan to be operated on, we automatically apply 'All to Operate' on your loan. This means that all borrowers must be present to make any changes to your loan and it won't be possible to have electronic access.
If you would like to authorise your loan to have 'Any to Operate', simply download the 'Contract Authority and Nomination to Receive Notices' form and complete Sections A, B and D.

Our Home Loan Health Check will help make sure you have the right loan option for your needs.
