By downloading the CommBank app and completing your details, we’ll be able to get you onboarded as a new customer and ensure that we can provide you with the best service. You’ll need to have access to the app to start or join an application.

If I start my application online, will I still be able to speak to a lender? 

Yes, starting online allows you to start your application in your own time, then it’s handed over to a lender who will get in contact to discuss and help finalise your application. 

How long will this process take me? 

If you have your physical ID handy, this process will take you less than 10 minutes to complete.

What physical ID will I need to present? 

You’ll need to have one or more of the following – Australian driver's license, Medicare card, passport or Australian birth certificate. 

What do I do if I’m unable to successfully complete my details online?

If you aren’t already a CommBank customer, you’ll need to visit your local CommBank branch to provide your relevant documents and complete verification. Visit our website for more information for overseas residents.
