About Kylie Allen

Since joining CBA in 2006, Kylie has led distribution teams across Small Business Banking, Commercial and Major Client Group, and specialised lending in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Prior to her promotion to Executive General Manager RAB, she was the General Manager Commercial Banking and Major Client Group in South Australia, a role which she held from 2018.

She has been based out of Adelaide throughout her career and will remain there in her new role.

Kylie’s commitment to regional Australia

“Over one third of Australians live in regional areas, and migration to the regions is set to continue,” Kylie explains.

The latest Regional Movers Index shows internal migration to regional areas rose nearly 11 per cent in Q2 2025.

"Regional areas offer wonderful lifestyle benefits as well as business opportunities in various sectors, including healthcare, logistics, and agriculture and it’s critical that we continue our support for regional businesses.

“Regional businesses are the lifeblood of their communities. They create jobs, boost local spending, and foster a unique sense of place.

"CBA’s Regional and Agribusiness Banking division plays a pivotal role in supporting the economic and social fabric of regional Australia and it’s a deep privilege to lead the team.”

Challenges and opportunities facing regional and agribusinesses

Commenting on the challenges and opportunities facing regional and agribusinesses Ms Allen said: “It’s a difficult time for some communities. With commodity prices fluctuating, tough trading conditions, and severe weather events across the country, it’s important to keep showing up in the communities we serve.

“However, the agricultural sector remains resilient, supported by strong commodity prices and farm values and increased investment in food and beverage manufacturing.

“When it comes to regional commercial businesses, sustained growth in 2025 is expected to continue into 2026, benefiting from net migration to regional locations around the country.”

Looking ahead, Kylie is eager to connect with customers and communities.

“There’s incredible opportunity ahead of us. I’m excited to hear what’s on people’s minds and to make a real difference.”

Kylie on the one lesson from her career that continues to guide her

“The importance of showing up - especially during tough times. Whether it’s drought, floods, or market shifts, being present and proactive for our customers builds trust and long-term partnerships.”

Business Bank leadership welcomes appointment

“Regional Australia makes a critical contribution to our economy and social fabric, and the businesses that thrive in these communities are vital to our national prosperity,” Mike Vacy-Lyle, CBA’s Group Executive Business Banking said.

“Whether it’s through lending, local partnerships, or on-the-ground support, we’re committed to backing the people and enterprises that make our regions strong.

"Kylie brings tremendous expertise, a deep understanding of the needs of businesses and a strong connection to regional Australia. We are proud to support her leadership from Adelaide, another example of our commitment to growing leadership across the country.”
