CommBank has been recognised as #1 on LinkedIn’s 2026 Top Companies list in Australia, reflecting the culture our people build every day and the bank’s focus on helping employees grow their careers, build future-ready skills and help shape what’s next for our customers and communities.
The annual list recognises organisations that create strong opportunities for career progression, skills growth and long-term development, among other data points.
Chief People Officer, Kiersten Robinson, says the recognition reflected CommBank’s people, alongside the long-term work underway to support career growth and skill-building across the bank.
“Being recognised as #1 on LinkedIn’s 2026 Top Companies list reflects the workplace our people shape every day – one where skills are built, growth is supported and people can develop their careers with confidence,” Robinson says.
As work continues to evolve, CommBank is focused on helping employees better understand the skills they are building today, how those skills can grow over time and where they might open up opportunities across the organisation.
This includes a deliberate focus on helping employees prepare for and navigate the changing nature of work through greater transparency around skills, career pathways and opportunities.
Robinson says careers are increasingly shaped less by fixed ladders and more by transferable skills and experience.
“Technology is a powerful enabler, but human judgement, empathy and critical thinking remain at the centre of meaningful work and good outcomes for customers,” Robinson says.
The recognition also reflects the importance of a supportive culture – one where learning is valued, growth is supported and people feel encouraged to keep building their skills.
For many employees, career growth is also closely connected to purpose. As one of Australia’s largest organisations, CommBank’s role in supporting customers, communities and the broader economy helps create meaningful work and a strong sense of contribution for its people.
