Following the Reserve Bank of Australia’s (RBA) decision to increase the official cash rate by 0.25% per annum (p.a.), CBA will increase home loan variable interest rates by 0.25% p.a.

All CommBank home loan variable rate changes announced today will be effective 13 November 2026.

Angus Sullivan, CBA Group Executive Retail Banking, said the Reserve Bank’s latest decision comes as persistent inflation continues to shape the interest rate environment.

“We recognise customers have been navigating an environment of rising interest rates this year. Our focus is on helping them understand the impact on their repayments, making it straightforward to access support if they need it, and providing practical ways to help manage everyday costs.”

CBA can offer a range of assistance to customers, depending on their individual needs and eligibility, including tailored financial assistance and flexible repayment arrangements.

“For customers who may be concerned about their financial position, we encourage them to contact us early. Speaking with us sooner gives our teams more opportunity to understand their circumstances and discuss the options that may be available,” Sullivan said.

Information about the assistance available, along with useful tools and cost-of-living resources, can be found on CBA’s Financial Assistance and Support page, as well as ways to get in touch through the CommBank app or with the Financial Assist Team.

Eligible customers can also access CommBank Yello offers that may help with everyday costs, including groceries, energy and fuel. One example of the current benefits is savings of up to 9 cents per litre on fuel at participating bp service stations for eligible CommBank Yello customers who are also members of BP Rewards Unlocked*.
