Proactive strategies to ensure the sustainable delivery of care

What's in the report?

The CommBank GP Insights Report is based on the insights of more than 200 general practices and 1,000 patients around Australia. It explores practices’ performance and priorities and how these align with patient preferences.

Insights from peers & patients

Insights directly from the industry and patient population can help practices respond and adapt with confidence. We investigate:

  • Practice performance and outlook
  • Patient satisfaction drivers
  • Shifting practice billing models
  • Tackling staff shortages and capacity constraints
  • Digital solutions to lift the practice and patient experience
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health

Albert Naffah, CEO, CommBank Health

“Being the first point of contact in the healthcare system means the general practice has an outsized role in managing public health outcomes. After a herculean effort over the past few years, it’s no surprise that practices look forward to brighter times ahead.”

Amid rising patient demand, changing practice economics and staff shortages, many GPs are doing more with less. This is prompting practices to review billing models, optimise processes and put the experience of their people and patients ahead of the practice.
