Clients will no longer need a logon or password to access Economic Insights, and can freely view reports by the Chief Economist, the Australian Economics desk, global economic perspectives and sustainability issues, among others. The change is effective from 6 September 2021.

Summary of changes:

  • Economic Insights reports are now available via www.commbankresearch.com.au without the need for a subscription.
  • Newly available reports are easy to identify – they no longer show a lock symbol after the report title and have a white and grey banner.
  • Economic Insights can be downloaded and shared in the same way as any other report published by CBA.
  • ESG-focused reports can be easily accessed via a new ‘Sustainable Economics’ tab.

“I am excited that our clients, staff and other stakeholders no longer need a logon or password to access all macro-economic and sustainability reports published by the Global Economic & Markets Research team,” said CBA’s Chief Economist Stephen Halmarick.

“Our insights help inform the decisions of our clients in Australia and around the world. We are delighted to make it easier to access these publications and improve their accessibility via CBA digital platforms and social media channels.

“However our financial markets research and strategy will continue to be available only to those with an active subscription to the CommBank Research Portal,” Mr Halmarick said.
