It is therefore no surprise that 18 months ago, at the age of 27, she turned her passion into a business and started her own fashion label.
While she’s already showing her looks at this year’s AFC Australian Fashion Week – no small feat - she does acknowledge that being a small business owner requires unwavering commitment, and patience.
“I learned a lot from watching my mum run her business, but what I wish I knew before starting my own business is the importance of taking a step back and knowing everything will happen in its own time. A lot of the time you want everything to happen all at once, but it’s important to trust the journey and know you’ll get to that point eventually,” Ms Zheng said.
