Commonwealth Bank credit card customers now have the ability to cancel their cards online through NetBank and the CommBank app. This new feature provides customers who don’t owe money on their credit card or have any recurring payments on their card, a simple and easy way to close their credit card online without having to contact the bank and speak with a bank employee.
Clive van Horen, Executive General Manager Retail Products, Commonwealth Bank said this new feature is giving customers additional control and convenience.
“We’ve worked hard to introduce new features for our credit card customers to give them more control to manage their financial wellbeing. With the launch of click to close our credit card customers can now go online to manage their end-to-end experience at any time; from applying for a card, managing their spending caps and credit limits, locking their card against certain transaction types, receiving instant transaction notifications and now cancelling their card.”
