Brandon, a proud Palawa man.

“As Chapter Lead for First Nations Talent Acquisition, I’m driven by a deep commitment to making a meaningful impact in community.”

“We have the opportunity at CommBank to create meaningful pathways, shift narratives, and champion Indigenous excellence.

“I bring the same focus and drive from my high-performance sport background into this space, blending strategy with a human centred approach to build pathways that reflect the strength and diversity of our mob.”

Jordan, a proud Wiradjuri and Ngiyampaa woman.

“My work is grounded in purpose, culture and connection, and I’m passionate about identifying not just equal, but equitable opportunities for mob.”

“In my role, I get to build real, meaningful relationships with candidates, taking the time to truly understand their goals, strengths and what drives them. I care deeply about the candidate experience and making sure every interaction feels empowering, respectful and impactful.”

“A lot of the incredible people I work with might be the first in their family to step into a corporate environment, the first to finish uni, or the first to explore a career in banking to build financial literacy and share that knowledge with their mob.

“That’s why this work matters. Careers at CommBank don’t just open doors for individuals, they can create ripple effects of success across families, communities, and generations.”

Danielle, a proud Yuin woman.

“Over the past four and a half years at CommBank, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to various impactful roles that align with my passions, such as working in the Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring team, the Indigenous Customer Assistance Line and now in my current role in the Indigenous Careers team as a Talent Sourcing Partner.”

“This role allows me to support and advocate for First Nations candidates during their application process, whilst continuing to work towards our Reconciliation Action Plan commitments.

Seeyali, a proud Kaanju woman with strong ties to Thursday Island in the Torres Strait.

“I’m excited to be doing meaningful work as part of the Indigenous Careers Team as a Talent Sourcing Partner, where I can contribute to impactful initiatives.

“Being in the role provides me the opportunity to connect with driven and talented Indigenous applicants, while also recognising and feeling proud of the incredible achievements of First Nations peoples I meet along the way.”

Meet the Early Careers Team

Anthony, a proud Gamilaroi man.

“As a Senior Manager for Indigenous Programs, I’ve dedicated my career to creating meaningful pathways for First Nations people into employment. My journey has been shaped by a deep respect for culture, community and the transformative power of opportunity.”

“Over the years, I’ve led initiatives that connect Indigenous talent with sustainable careers, working closely with Elders, community leaders, and employers to ensure culturally safe and empowering environments. Whether it’s through mentoring, policy development, or strategic partnerships, my focus has always been on breaking down barriers and building bridges between people, organisations, and futures.”

“My passion is to design programs that honour Indigenous knowledge while equipping participants with the skills and confidence to thrive. From grassroots engagement to national strategy, I’ve seen firsthand how employment can be a catalyst for healing, pride, and self-determination.”

“My passion stems from a belief that every First Nations person deserves access to meaningful work that reflects their strengths and aspirations. Employment isn’t just about income, it’s about identity, dignity, and legacy. I’m proud to have played a role in shifting narratives and systems to better serve our communities.”

Trent, a proud Gomeroi man.

“I’m part of a proud team of First Nations professionals working together to support mob in finding meaningful work they’re passionate about. As an Indigenous Careers Partner, I focus on helping mob take their first steps into the workforce, whether that’s through internships, graduate programs or long-term roles.”

“What makes our team special is that we’re all First Nations. We bring lived experience, cultural knowledge, and a shared commitment to our communities into everything we do. We make sure the opportunities we create are grounded in what mob need and want.”

“At the same time, we’re helping our non-Indigenous colleagues build a stronger understanding and respect for First Nations cultures. For me, it’s all part of the bigger journey towards reconciliation, for our workplace and for all Australians.”

Ky, a proud Bidjigal woman.

“I have strong family and cultural connections to La Perouse and I grew up on the beautiful south coast of NSW. A few years ago, I made the move to Sydney and I now live and work on Darug Country.”
