The Commonwealth Bank Group acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the Lands across Australia.
We acknowledge and celebrate the inherent strengths of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
As the continuing custodians of Country and Culture, we pay our respect to the Elders past and present.
We thank the many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, organisations and individuals that have guided us through our RAP journey.
Our Acknowledgement of Country artwork was developed by Anna Jovanovic, a proud Walbunja woman from the Far South Coast of New South Wales. The elements express the importance of developing a strong relationship and working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The inner meeting places, represented by yellow and orange circled lines, symbolise the sharing of knowledge. The inner and outer brown and black circles represent the urban, regional and remote communities the Commonwealth Bank works in partnership with.
The orange lines travelling outwards represent our journey since we launched our Reconciliation Action Plan and the knowledge we have gained from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, community members, organisations and businesses as well as our community partners. The yellow represents the Commonwealth Bank presence within these communities and the foundation of serving customers since 1912.
