Terms and conditions

  1. The Commonwealth Bank of Australia 'CommBank AFC Women’s Asian Cup Business Giveaway Competition' (Promotion) is conducted by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia ABN 48 123 123 124 of Level 1, 11 Harbour Street, Sydney NSW 2000 (PH: 13 2221) (Promoter).
  2. The Promotion commences at 9:00am (AEDT) on 1st February 2026 and closes at 11:59pm (AEDT) on 28th February 2026 (Promotion Period).
  3. The Promotion is authorised under New South Wales Authority No. TP/03182 and NTP/15671.
  4. In these Terms and Conditions:
    1. the term 'AFC' refers to the Asian Football Confederation;
    2. the term 'Business' means a business linked to an active Business Transaction Account with the Promoter;
    3. the term 'Business Transaction Account' has the meaning set out in the Terms and Conditions for Business Transaction and Savings Accounts;
    4. the term 'CommBank Matildas' refers to the Australian women's national soccer team;
    5. the term 'Excluded Business' means, as determined by the Promoter, a financial business or a business that competes with the Promoter or a sponsor of the CommBank Matildas;
    6. the term 'Football Australia' refers to the governing body of soccer in Australia with ABN 28 106 478 068;
    7. the term 'Representative' means any individual who is an authorised representative of a Business and may enter the Promotion on behalf of that Business; and
    8. the term 'Terms and Conditions for Business Transaction and Savings Accounts' refers to the Promoter's terms and conditions for its Business Transaction Accounts and Business Online Saver Accounts, found at commbank.com.au/btsa.
  5. Eligibility

  6. Entry is open to Businesses which during the Promotion Period and up to the date of the Draw (as defined below):
    1. have an ABN and operate in Australia;
    2. in the case of sole traders, are an Australian resident aged 18 years or older;
    3. have an Account Holder who is 18 years or older, resides in New South Wales, Queensland or Western Australia, and has a correct email address and phone number recorded with the Promoter;
    4. have a Account Holder that holds an active Business Transaction Account with the Promoter in accordance with the Terms and Conditions for Business Transaction and Savings Accounts;
    5. are not (as determined by the Promoter) an Excluded Business; and
    6. have as its Representative a person who is not (as determined by the Promoter):
      1. an employee of the Promoter or Football Australia;
      2. involved (whether as a principal, agent or employee) in the conduct or the promotion of the Promotion (including any person who determines who is to win a prize in the Promotion); or
      3. involved in the management of the Promoter, any of the Promoter's related entities, Football Australia or any other benefitting organisation,
  7. (Eligible Entrants).

    How to enter

  8. To enter the Promotion, Representatives of Eligible Entrants must make 20 x transactions of any value via their Business Transaction Account during the Promotion Period (Qualifying Transactions).
  9. If a Representative is a holder of multiple Business Transaction Accounts, the Qualifying Transactions must be made via one and the same Business Transaction Account.
  10. Each Eligible Entrant is entitled to enter the Promotion once.
  11. By entering, each entrant agrees to:
    1. the Promoter's privacy policy available at www.commbank.com.au/privacy (Privacy Policy); and
    2. these Terms and Conditions.
  12. Prize details

  13. Of the 32 Winners (as defined below and determined in accordance with clause 15), there will be 18 Winners in New South Wales, 9 Winners in Western Australia and 5 Winners in Queensland who will each win 4 x general admission tickets to an AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ (Cup) match held in their Account Holder's state of residence (each valued at a maximum of $160.00) (Prize).
  14. The Prize allocations and details of the Cup matches are set out below:
    1. 9 x Winners for the Perth Semi Final at Perth Stadium (Match 23, 17th March 2026);
    2. 9 x Winners for the Sydney Semi Final at Stadium Australia (Match 24, 18th March 2026);
    3. 3 x Winners for the Gold Coast Play Off at Gold Coast Stadium (Match 25, 19th March 2026);
    4. 2 x Winners for the Gold Coast Play Off at Gold Coast Stadium (Match 26, 19th March 2026); and
    5. 9 x Winners for the Sydney Final at Stadium Australia (Match 27, 21st March 2026).
  15. The value of each Prize is a maximum of $320.00 and the total value of all Prizes in the Promotion is a maximum of $10,240.00.
  16. The Prizes are being supplied by the Promoter in conjunction with Football Australia.
  17. The Promoter will not cover any costs of transport or accommodation to any Cup matches, and any other expenses associated with attending a Cup match will be at the cost of the Winner or its Representative or Account Holder
  18. Determining the Winners

  19. The random electronic prize draw will take place at 11:00am (AEDT) on 4th March 2026 at Trade Promotions and Lotteries Pty Ltd (ACN 601 297 330), Level 2, 11 York St, Sydney NSW 2000 (Draw). The first 18 entries from Eligible Entrants drawn in New South Wales, the first 9 entries from Eligible Entrants drawn in Western Australia and the first 5 entries from Eligible Entrants drawn in Queensland, as determined by the Promoter, will be awarded a Prize (Winners). The 9 Winners of Prizes for the Sydney Semi Final will be drawn first, with a further 9 Winners of Prizes for the Sydney Final drawn after.
  20. At the time of the Draw, the Promoter will randomly draw a further 15 additional entries in each of New South Wales, Western Australia and Queensland from Eligible Entrants to be reserve winners if a Prize is unclaimed or cannot be delivered to or accepted by a Winner in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (Reserve Winners).
  21. Each Eligible Entrant is only eligible to receive one Prize.
  22. Announcing and notifying the Winners

  23. The Promoter will notify each Winner by email to the Account Holder’s email address (being, the latest email address recorded with the Promoter) and/or phone call to its Account Holder's phone number (being, the latest phone number recorded with the Promoter) by 5:00pm (AEDT) on 6th March 2026.
  24. The Promoter will publish each Winner's business name and postcode on the Promoter's website at commbank.com.au/AFC by 5:00pm (AEDT) on 6th March 2026.
  25. Claiming the Prize

  26. Each Account Holder of a Winner must claim their Winner's Prize by 3:00pm (AEDT) on 11th March 2026 by confirming receipt of the Promoter's notification email or phone call by return email (or by such other method specified in the notification email) or phone call.
  27. If a Prize is unclaimed or cannot be delivered to or accepted by a Winner (e.g. due to an invalid entry or inability to attend a Cup match) by 3:00pm (AEDT) on 11th March 2026:
    1. the Winner will be taken to have forfeited the Prize and the Promoter will award the Prize instead to a Reserve Winner to have been next drawn;
    2. the Promoter will notify that Reserve Winner by email and/or phone call to its Account Holder's phone number on 12th March 2026 and will publish the Reserve Winner's business name and postcode in the manner described in clause 19 on the same day; and
    3. the Reserve Winner's Account Holder must claim the Reserve Winner's Prize by 5:00pm (AEDT) on 14th March 2026 by confirming receipt of the Promoter's notification email or phone call by return email (or by such other method specified in the notification email) or phone call.
  28. If a Reserve Winner's Account Holder does not claim the Prize on behalf of the Reserve Winner within the time specified in clause 21.c), the Prize will be forfeited.
  29. Distributing the Prizes

  30. Upon each Winner (or Reserve Winner, if applicable) claiming the Prize, the Winner (or Reserve Winner, if applicable) will be contacted by the Promoter to make arrangements regarding the taking of the Prize and organising the next steps.
  31. Conditions of taking the Prize

  32. As a condition of claiming a Prize, each Winner or Reserve Winner (as the case may be) (Prize Recipient) agrees to:
    1. accept these Terms and Conditions;
    2. have its Account Holder provide the Promoter with the name(s) and contact details of the persons they nominate to use the Prize or accompany them as part of the Prize (Guests) and ensure that each Guest agrees to these Terms and Conditions;
    3. the Promoter using the Prize Recipient's business name and postcode in any media for the purpose of publishing the outcome of this Promotion;
    4. being contacted by the Promoter through its Account Holder for purposes directly related to the Promotion;
    5. the Promoter collecting personal information of its Account Holder and each Guest and disclosing it to Football Australia for the purpose of distributing the Prize; and
    6. comply (and ensure that each Guest complies) with any terms or conditions applicable to the Prize imposed by Football Australia.
  33. Each Account Holder of a Prize Recipient must fill out a registration form sent to them by the Promoter in order to receive the tickets as part of the Prize. Account Holders of Prize Recipients will then receive a ticket PDF from Football Australia. The Promoter reserves the right to not deliver the Prize to a Prize Recipient or to withdraw the Prize or any part of the Prize at any time if the Promoter determines the Winner has not complied with these Terms and Conditions.
  34. Prizes may not be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash or other goods or services.
  35. If a Prize is unavailable, the Promoter and/or Football Australia reserves the right, in its discretion, to substitute a Prize with a prize of equivalent value and/or specification, subject to any legal requirements of any applicable regulatory authorities.
  36. The Promoter and Football Australia do not accept responsibility for the cancellation, delay, unavailability, restriction or condition on or of the Prize for any reason beyond the control of the Promoter or Football Australia.
  37. Resolving disputes

  38. Complaints regarding the Promotion may be submitted by:
    1. completing the online complaints form available at www.commbank.com.au/support/compliments-and-complaints;
    2. calling 13 22 21; or
    3. visiting any Commonwealth Bank Branch.
  39. If there is a dispute concerning the complaint, the decision of the Promoter is final and binding, and no further correspondence will be entered into.
  40. General

  41. Information on how to enter and prize details set out in all communications regarding the Promotion form part of these Terms and Conditions.
  42. The Promoter will notify Prize Recipients' Account Holders using the email address and phone number displayed in their NetBank. To check the email address and phone number are correct, visit commbank.com.au and click 'Log on', then 'NetBank log on' and then 'Settings' and click 'My contact details'.
  43. Any entry not complying with these Terms and Conditions is invalid. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion.
  44. The Prize Recipient accepts the Prize ‘as is’ and acknowledges that the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the Prize or the Prize Recipient accepting and taking the Prize. The Prize Recipient and its Account Holder should seek advice from the Australian Tax Office or its own taxation adviser or independent financial adviser.
  45. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, in its sole discretion, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant's business name and Account Holder's identity, age, place of residence, phone number, email address and status of their Business Transaction Account) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant whom the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper conduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
  46. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion), the Promoter may, subject to the legal requirements of any relevant regulatory authorities, take any action that may be available including cancelling, terminating, modifying or suspending the Promotion.
  47. The Prizes are valued in Australian dollars unless expressly stated to the contrary.
  48. All Prizes amounts in these Terms and Conditions are inclusive of the Australian goods and services tax (GST) unless expressly stated to the contrary.
  49. All costs and expenses not specifically mentioned as being included in the Prize are solely the Prize Recipient's and its Account Holder's responsibility. The Prize Recipient and the Account Holder take the Prize at their own risk.
  50. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  51. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 (Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the states and territories of Australia (Non-Excludable Guarantees).
  52. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter, Football Australia and their related entities (including their respective directors, officers, employees and agents) are not responsible for and exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s and/or Football Australia’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in Prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a beneficiary of a Prize (including an Eligible Entrant, the Prize Recipients and their Representatives and Account Holders); (f) use/taking of the Prize; (g) the Promotion.
  53. All entries become the sole property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information from entrants' representatives so that it may process entries, administer this Promotion and contact entrants regarding information on products or services that may be of interest to them. The Promoter may communicate personal information to external providers and organisations to which it may outsource certain functions.
  54. The Promoter will use and handle entrants' representatives' personal information as set out in its Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy set outs how individuals may access, update or correct their personal information, change their direct marketing preferences or make a privacy complaint.
  55. The Promotion and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, being the state in which the Promoter has its Head Office. Entrants accept the non-exclusive jurisdiction of courts and tribunals of New South Wales in connection with any disputes concerning the Promotion.
