When you send an International Money Transfer (IMT), overseas banks may deduct processing fees from the amount you transfer, which could result in the recipient receiving less than the amount you send.
For selected countries and currencies, you have the option to pay an additional fee to cover charges by overseas banks. This option is available for IMTs sent via branch and CommBiz only, and is not available for IMTs sent in NetBank or the CommBank app. View a list of the countries and currencies where this additional fee option is available.
For more information about these fees, see our Standard fees and charges for international payment products and travel funds and CommBiz Terms and Conditions.
1 Fees must be paid in Australian Dollars or debited from an Australian Dollar account.
2 This is a request only and is dependent on the overseas bank obtaining the relevant debit authority to be able to return funds. Returned funds will be converted back to the currency of the funding account at the published Bank buys IMT rate on the day it is credited to the funding account.
3 Overseas banks' charges (which may vary from country to country) could apply in addition to the charges listed above.
4 Fee charged depends on arrangements with overseas banks.
