We use correspondent banks to process IMTs and there are charges for this service.
For cross-currency IMTs, we’ll absorb these correspondent bank fees when you send an IMT via NetBank, the CommBank app or in-branch.
Sending an IMT from a Foreign Currency Account
You can choose to pay an additional fee when sending same currency transfers (e.g. sending an IMT using your GBP account to a GBP account overseas), using CommBiz or in-branch. The table below sets out the available currencies and corresponding fees. The fees below don’t cover any other charges incurred from the beneficiary’s bank, which may have their own processing fees. The fees are payable in AUD.

1 Fees must be paid in Australian Dollars or debited from an Australian Dollar account.
2 This is a request only and is dependent on the overseas bank obtaining the relevant debit authority to be able to return funds. Returned funds will be converted back to the currency of the funding account at the published Bank buys IMT rate on the day it is credited to the funding account.
3 Overseas banks' charges (which may vary from country to country) could apply in addition to the charges listed above.
