If you are travelling overseas, you need to make sure you have a PIN before you leave as it may be required in some countries to complete transactions. 

Please be aware some countries and overseas banks have different PIN rules to those in Australia. If your PIN does not work while overseas, we recommend you check with a local bank to find out if there are any unique PIN rules for that country or bank.

The fastest and easiest way to create the PIN of your choice is through NetBank (and you don't need to know your existing PIN).

How do I choose/change a PIN for a card in NetBank?

Note: If you aren't registered for NetCode you'll only be able to activate your card on NetBank. You'll need to call us on 13 2221 or visit a branch to obtain a PIN. Why not save time and register for NetCode SMS? In NetBank select the 'Services' tab and select 'NetCode security'. Follow the simple on screen instructions.
