What is the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower?

The Sunflower is a discreet symbol that allows people to voluntarily share with others they have a disability or condition that may not be immediately apparent, and that they may need extra time, support or understanding.

The Sunflower wristband, lanyard or pin may be worn by customers as shown in the photos below. Carers may also wear the Sunflower supporter lanyard, wristband or pin.

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program complements CommBank’s Equal Access Toolkit.

Our branches are equipped with the Equal Access Toolkit to help make banking easier for people who may need an adjusted experience when they bank with us.

It includes a range of practical tools (PDF), including signature guides, magnifying glasses, communication boards, high-contrast pens, clipboards and keyboards.
