Take a closer look

“Sometimes when you find yourself in a great job with a great leader and things are going well, too often the immediate reaction is to chase the next title or the bigger office.

“However I think it’s really important to take some time to understand the motivations for your next move. Think about a time when you felt you were at your best; what it was that made it great? Was it the role, the leader, the situation, the vision you followed? Find that and try to integrate it into your next career move. Don’t just chase the next big thing.

“If you take the time to see what’s going on and integrate your objectives into your preparation, you’ll be in a better position to impress and to make the right decision.”
