Help & support
The Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN) is a national not-for-profit connecting businesses with students in under-resourced communities through skills-based mentoring.
Since 1996, CommBank has proudly partnered with ABCN to help students across Australia build confidence, develop career skills, and explore future employment pathways. Our employee mentors share their professional insights and experiences through engaging, curriculum-aligned programs that spark curiosity and open doors to professional networks and resources.
Together, CommBank and ABCN are helping bridge the gap between potential and opportunity - turning volunteering into a powerful investment in Australia’s future workforce.
Since 2019, CommBank has proudly partnered with Thread Together as part of the CommBank Next Chapter initiative.
Thread Together believes new clothing has the power to help restore dignity and build brighter futures.
Taking brand new, excess clothing and apparel and distributing free of charge to people and communities across Australia who need help, Thread Together supports disaster survivors, people experiencing homelessness, refugees, First Nations communities and those doing it tough.
CommBank employees volunteer to sort, stock and pack clothing, enabling Thread Together to provide clothes to around 18,000 people and divert 1,200 tonnes of brand-new clothing from landfill.
CommBank has supported Lifeblood since 2009, and each year our employees do something truly life-changing – rolling up their sleeves to donate much-needed blood or plasma.
It’s a personal yet powerful way our people can help someone recover from illness, injury, or overcome a life-threatening condition.
Every donation counts, and our support can ‘give the gift of life’ to people across Australia, who need this vital resource to survive.
