Now in their sixth year, the Awards provide a wonderful opportunity to recognise not-for-profit treasurers for their dedication to community groups across the nation. There’s also an opportunity to win one of four $5,000 donations for your not-for-profit when you take part in the Awards.

Entering the 2020 Awards

You can get involved with this year’s Awards in one of two ways:

1. Nominate your treasurer

This is a great way to thank your treasurer.  All nominated not-for-profit treasurers will receive an official Certificate of Appreciation.

2. Community treasurers

Share your insights for your chance to win one of four $5,000 cash donations for your not-for-profit. Simply select the appropriate field for your community group from:

  • Community service and advocacy groups
  • Education
  • Housing and homelessness
  • Sports, arts and culture

Then answer the following question:

What have you learnt about surviving a crisis while fulfilling your role as a not-for-profit treasurer?

To enter go to ourcommunity.com.au/treasurersawards

Entries open 1.00pm (AEST), Tuesday, 4 August 2020 and close 11.00am (AEST) 2 October 2020. Winners will be announced on Monday, 16 November at the Communities in Control Conference, Moonee Valley Racecourse, McPherson Street, Moonee Ponds, Vic 3039. Further details and Conditions of Entry can be found on the Our Community website.

Not-for-Profit Finance Week

Recognition and knowledge building.

Not-for-Profit Finance Week aims to support the growth of the financial literacy skills of staff, volunteers, board members and treasurers who oversee the finances of Australia’s not-for-profit organisations and community groups.

Held in August, the week features a program of free online educational webinars, as well as the launch of the annual Not-for-Profit Treasurers’ Awards.
