  • FX trades are coming this month. You can still log on to CommBiz from your desktop to authorise or view FX trades.

    Later this year, we'll launch notifications and app messages. Then in early 2026, you'll be able to select and authorise multiple payments, search transactions, merge user accounts and use Face ID to log on to the app.

Frequently asked questions

  1. You need to be personally identified as a CommBiz user before you can use the app (your Administrator can set this up for you)
  2. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play. Each user can register 1 device, such as an iPhone or Android mobile.
  3. Activate the app to make it fully secure. You’ll need to enter a NetCode and accept the Terms and Conditions.

The new app version will be rolled out gradually on the App Store and Google Play from July 2025, so not everyone will have access to it at the same time.

If you have automatic updates turned on, you won’t have to do anything. Your CommBiz Mobile app will update automatically.  

To use the new CommBiz Mobile, your phone must meet the minimum operating system requirements:

  • Apple iOS 16 or later
  • Android 8.0 or later

If your device can’t be updated, you won't be able to use CommBiz Mobile as the current app will no longer be available.

You can continue to use CommBiz on your desktop, but you’ll need to ask your Administrator to order you a physical token.

If you currently use a physical token, you’ll need to switch to eToken to continue using the mobile app. 

If eToken is disabled on your CommBiz service, the error message ‘Your service is not eToken enabled’ will show during CommBiz Mobile registration and you won't be able to continue.

To enable eToken, an Administrator will need to call us on 13 2339.

  1. If you have a physical token and your account is locked or expired:

    You can still use My Security Centre in CommBiz to unlock your account without logging on.
  2. If you have eToken and your account is locked or expired: 

    You need to log on to access eToken in the new CommBiz Mobile. This means if your account is locked or expired, you can't access eToken to unlock it yourself.

    Contact your Administrator to unlock your account. They can either:

    Use the unlock functionality in CommBiz (without resetting your password)
    Reset your password and provide a temporary one for you to log on with  
  3. If you're a CommBiz Administrator and your account is locked:

    Unlock your account from My Security Centre in CommBiz if you have a physical token. If you're the only Administrator, you’ll need to call us on 13 2339. eToken user guide

To access the new experience, you'll be sent a NetCode by SMS. If you're using an international number, you may not receive it. We suggest you: 

  • Confirm the mobile number on your user profile is correct 
  • Ask your Administrator to order you a physical token

This could take up to 3 weeks to arrive, so make sure to plan ahead.

No, once you upgrade to the new version you can’t go back.

When you opt in for CommBiz Mobile, all users will get access.

If you opt out of CommBiz Mobile, it gets cancelled overnight and all users will be notified in CommBiz.

Note: Opting in or out of CommBiz Mobile won't change user permissions or CommBiz settings.
