Help & support
Make sure the following is up to date:
Authorised signatories – you can view your current authorised signatories in NetBank
Organisation members – you’ll need to contact ASIC to view and update organisation members
We’ll check there are no changes to these details, as well as your ownership, ABN or ACN, when we update your business name. If there are, you’ll need to submit a new Application and Authority for Business Accounts form (PDF 1MB).
You’ll need to visit a branch or contact your Relationship Manager (if you have one) to update your business name.
You’ll need to provide:
Evidence of the name change
A written request signed by your organisation members
You’ll need to provide one of the following:
Certificate of Registration on Change of Name
Certificate of Incorporation
Certificate of Registration of Business Name
Certificate of Registration for an unincorporated association
Deed of variation for a trust
You don’t need to provide documentation if you’re only updating the suffix of a Statutory Trust Account. For example, you’re changing “John A Smith Family Trust” to “John Smith Family Trust”.
You’ll need to provide a physical written request on a business letterhead. It should include:
ABN and/or ACN
Current address, email address and phone number
New business name
New business logo (if applicable)
Reason for the name change
A list of accounts to be updated (BSB and account number)
You’ll need to get your organisation members, like your directors, to physically sign the letter. We don’t accept electronic signatures.
