As part of the new CommBank Yello experience, benefits and eligibility criteria will change from 1 October 2026. Streamline Basic will become an eligible transaction account for CommBank Yello, which means some customers may become eligible who previously weren’t.
Customers will need an Australian residential address and be opted in to receive CommBank Yello offers.
Some existing benefits including cashback will no longer be provided. We’re introducing new ways to earn one-off, monthly and annual points, giving customers a variety of ways to be rewarded. Read the CommBank Yello Program Terms and Conditions and the Product Offer Terms and Conditions for more information.
Eligible customers will be able to earn CommBank Yello points across more of their banking, through their spending, new products, and banking milestones. T&Cs apply.
Earn points for spending on eligible banking products including selected CommBank credit cards and World Debit Mastercard (caps apply).
Earn points when signing up to eligible home, car, life and health insurance products.
Earn points on Personal Loans for Brighte home energy upgrades or secured fixed car loan through Cars for CommBank.
Earn monthly points when trading with a CommSec account.
Earn points when reinvesting a Term Deposit after the maturity date.
We’re bringing you new brands where you can earn or redeem points, with even more on the way. Whether it’s the weekly grocery shop or that trip you’ve been dreaming of, points give you more choice in how you’re rewarded. And alongside new brands, you’ll also have access to the brands you already know and love.
The value of CommBank Yello points depends on how you choose to redeem them. Here are some examples of what your points could help you do.

CommBank Yello is a customer rewards and recognition program that gives eligible customers access to benefits such as offers, perks and experiences. From 1 October, it will evolve to a points program, where customers can earn points for their banking and everyday spend at participating brands.
CommBank Yello is evolving to a points program to give customers more flexibility and choice in how they're rewarded. From 1 October, eligible customers can earn points across eligible banking products or shopping brand offers. Customers will no longer be provided with cashback. Points can be redeemed for gift cards, travel, cash, airlines, rewards programs and so much more. Perks like presale access, competitions and discounts will still be available.
From 1 October 2026, the new CommBank Yello experience will launch to new and existing customers.
Eligible customers will be able to earn, redeem or transfer CommBank Yello points, or access discounts and other perks with participating brands and rewards programs. Some brands and rewards options will be available from launch, with more to be added over time. These may include:
Customers can start enjoying benefits if they meet the eligibility criteria. We check this at the start of the month, based on their activity last month.
Yes. From 1 October 2026, some CommBank Yello eligibility criteria will change.
Streamline Basic will become an eligible transaction account for CommBank Yello, which means some customers who weren’t previously eligible may become eligible. Because CommBank Yello eligibility is assessed using activity from the previous month, transactions made on a Streamline Basic account in September may count towards eligibility from October.
There are no changes to the eligibility criteria for CommBank Yello tiers.
Customers will also need to be opted in to receive CommBank Yello offers and have a residential address in Australia to be eligible for CommBank Yello from 1 October 2026. Updating personal details can be done via NetBank or through our assisted channels.
Before 1 October 2026, customers can opt back in to CommBank Yello by messaging us in the CommBank app or visiting a local branch. From 1 October 2026, customers can opt in by tapping 'CBA Yello' in the CommBank app or NetBank. It can take up to a month to get access again.
From 1 October 2026, customers will no longer be able to opt out of CommBank Yello offers only. If they want to opt out of offers, they would need to opt out of the program. If a customer is opted out of receiving CommBank Yello offers on 25 September 2026, they won’t be able to access the program from 1 October 2026 unless they opt back in.
The ability to opt back in to CommBank Yello will continue to be available after these dates. If a customer opts back in, they will be able to access the program if they meet the eligibility criteria.
Customers can currently access CommBank Yello in the CommBank app by tapping 'CBA Yello'. From 1 October 2026, some customers will also be able to access a limited CommBank Yello experience in NetBank. Access in NetBank will be progressively rolled out from this time, however, access to perks and offers will only be available in the CommBank app.
If a customer is eligible, their last product cashback will be paid in September 2026. Brand cashbacks at participating retailers will be typically paid within 14 business days of redeeming an eligible offer. Occasionally, it may take longer. Eligibility and offer terms apply.

From 1 October 2026, eligible customers enrolled into CommBank Yello with eligible CommBank credit cards will be able to opt in to have their CommBank Yello points converted to Qantas Frequent Flyer points. Customers can do this by visiting the CommBank app or NetBank, navigating to ‘CBA Yello’ and selecting ‘Ways to redeem’.
Qantas Frequent Flyer opt-in through CommBank Yello will only be available on selected eligible CommBank credit cards. Eligibility criteria, fees, conversion rates and terms and conditions will apply. More information will be available from 1 October 2026.
