AIA Vitality is a personalised, science-backed health and wellbeing program that supports you to make healthier choices. It helps you to know your health, provides support on your journey to improve your health, and keeps you motivated as you enjoy the rewards.

When you take out eligible Basic Accident Only Hospital, Basic Plus Hospital or Bronze Hospital policies, you get access to AIA Vitality Starter, our science-backed health and wellbeing program. With AIA Vitality Starter, you can earn up to $260 each membership year for achieving active benefit targets.
With both programs, you start your journey on Bronze Status. As you make healthier choices and earn more Points you’ll move from Bronze to Silver, Gold and finally to Platinum.
You can earn AIA Vitality Points through things like increasing your physical activity or going for health checks. The more Points you earn, the higher your Status, and the greater the rewards.
You can earn AIA Vitality Points by learning about and improving your current state of health in areas such as nutrition, exercise and mental wellbeing to receive weekly rewards and contribute to your overall AIA Vitality Status (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum).

For eligible health insurance policies with AIA Health, AIA Vitality (or AIA Vitality Starter) is included with your policy for a fee of $12.50 ($6.00 for AIA Vitality Starter). You will see this cost when you get a quote with AIA Health. For any questions about AIA Vitality, its fee or to remove this benefit, please call AIA Vitality on 1800 848 254, 8:30am-5pm, Mon-Fri (Sydney/Melbourne time).
For eligible Priority Protection policies with AIA Australia, AIA Vitality is not automatically included.3 You must call AIA Vitality on 1800 848 254, 8:30am-5pm, Mon-Fri (Sydney/Melbourne time) to discuss the fee required to attach an AIA Vitality membership to your eligible Priority Protection policy.
If you’ve purchased an eligible AIA Health Insurance policy, you’ll receive an email shortly after your first payment with steps to activate your AIA Vitality membership. Once you activate your membership, you can start enjoying your benefits straight away.
If you’ve taken out an AIA Australia Priority Protection policy and asked to attach an AIA Vitality membership, the AIA Vitality team will send your activation email as soon as your policy is in place.

No. AIA Vitality supports you wherever you’re starting from, regardless of your health or fitness level. The program aims to help you get to know your health and improve it by making healthier choices over time. You’re rewarded as you progress your journey.
This can be as simple as everyday movement like walking the dog, taking more steps, meditating or getting the recommended hours of sleep, all of which can help improve your health and earn you AIA Vitality Points.
1 Hospital Excess Refund Benefit provides a partial refund of your hospital excess for an eligible hospital admission. For example, if you have a $500 Excess, the Excess Refund benefit is $250. If you have a $750 Excess, the Excess Refund benefit is $500. You must have held an AIA Health policy for a minimum of six months and have an AIA Vitality Silver Status or above, at the time you're admitted to hospital. Excess Refund Benefit is not available when claiming on the following clinical categories: cataracts, joint replacements, dialysis for chronic kidney failure, pregnancy and birth, assisted reproductive services, weight loss surgery, insulin pumps, pain management with device and sleep studies.

3 Your Priority Protection (Life Cover, Income Protection, Total and Permanent Disablement or Crisis Recovery cover) policy must have an annual premium of $540 or higher to attach AIA Vitality.
4 Customers who are on AIA Vitality can earn up to $240 (or $120 for AIA Vitality starter) in AIA Vitality Premium Rewards per AIA Vitality membership year. A premium credit of $80 will apply for customers on AIA Vitality (or $40 for AIA Vitality Starter) each time a new Vitality Status (Silver, Gold or Platinum) is reached.
