How it works

Get cover in three easy steps:

  1. Activate via NetBank or the CommBank app
    Log on to NetBank or the CommBank app to register your travel plans and activate your insurance.
  2. Add optional extras
    Extend your cover by purchasing upgrade options such as increased cover for Rental vehicle excess, increased Snow cover or increased Cruise cover.^
  3. Receive your Certificate of Insurance
    Your Certificate will be emailed to you with your personalised policy number and cover details.

If you activate while travelling there will be a 3 day waiting period before you receive the activated level of cover.*

If you don’t activate you’ll receive Base cover which includes personal liability cover and unlimited overseas medical assistance and hospital expenses only.*

When you're away

Don’t forget to take a copy of your Certificate of Insurance with you. It includes your policy number and contact details if you need assistance. You received this via email when you purchased your cover.

Managing your policy

Once you have purchased your policy it’s easy to manage, simply click on the button to perform any of these tasks:

  • Download your Certificate of Insurance
  • Change your journey details
  • Increase your cover
  • Update your contact information
  • Cancel your policy.

Have your policy number and mobile handy, you’ll need these to log on.

How to claim

For medical, hospital or dental claims contact Allianz Global Assistance as soon as practically possible. Call +61 7 3305 7499 (reverse charge from overseas) or 1800 010 075 (within Australia) at anytime.

  • Your travel insurance claim may require different supporting documentation (e.g. medical reports, invoices, purchase receipts, and/or police reports)
  • To make a claim, visit Allianz Global Assistance or call on 1800 837 177 or +61 7 3377 3988 at any time (select from available options).
