Team experience

Nino Ramunno

General Manager
Investment and Advisory Services

Nino has over 20 years experience in the Financial Services industry starting his career with First State Fund Managers (now Colonial First State Investments) in 1994. 

Over the next 12 years Nino held various positions with Colonial First State Investments including Senior National Account Management and leading Distribution teams. 

Nino joined Commonwealth Private in 2007 as Executive Manager and was responsible for leading a motivated team of financial services professionals, delivering outstanding personal service and trusted advice to the Group’s highest net worth clients. 

In October 2012 Nino was appointed as General Manager of Investment & Advisory Services at Commonwealth Private. As of 1 July 2016 Nino’s role has been expanded to also include the leadership of Business Development, Marketing, Strategy and Banking Operations teams. 

Nino is part of the Commonwealth Private Leadership Team, as well as member of Commonwealth Private Investment & Compliance Committees.

Ralf Haase

Head of Commonwealth Private Office

Ralf is currently Head of the CPO and joined the business in March 2009.

Ralf worked at Macquarie Private Bank for 4 years as an Associate Director of the Group and a General Partner of the Private Bank. His responsibilities included management of the day to day client relationships (circa $350 million in assets) as well as being responsible for the Alternative Asset class of the Private Bank Investment Portfolio.

Before that, Ralf spent 13 years with Goldman Sachs in Europe. His experience involved roles in Investment Banking, Equity Capital Markets and Institutional Convertible Bond sales in London; and from 1999 to 2003 he was the Managing Director responsible for the Private Wealth Management business for Goldman Sachs in Frankfurt, Germany.

Ralf holds a Master of Business from the European Business School, Frankfurt and is Series 7, 3 and 63 qualified, as well as holds his RG146 and is an ASX Level 2 Accredited Derivatives Advisor. A German national, Ralf is fluent in German, French and English.

James Andrea

Regional General Manager
New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory

James was appointed Regional General Manager, NSW & ACT, in July 2016. Prior to this, he was General Manager Queensland, Asia and Business Development & Operations for four years.

James has over 22 years in the financial services industry and has held senior positions in the CBA group across multiple disciplines including strategy and marketing, banking and equities operations as well as running large transformational projects.

Prior to CBA, James was a management consultant and originally started his career as Private Client Adviser, specialising in equities with JB Were & Son. James holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Amanda Coombs

Regional General Manager
VIC/TAS, Commonwealth Private

Amanda joined us in March 2013 as an Executive Manager representing Commonwealth Private Office in Melbourne. She was recently appointed to the role of General Manager, Commonwealth Private VIC/TAS.

Prior to joining Commonwealth Private, Amanda was with National Australia Bank leading a team of 60 people across five cities responsible for a $150m business for NAB's Global Markets Division.

Before NAB, Amanda was with ANZ for 10 years including Strategy Executive for ANZ Mortgages and roles involving Foreign Exchange. One of Amanda’s achievements with ANZ was the roll-out of Derivatives Training to trading desks across six countries including Australia, Japan and India.

Amanda actually started her career as a Graduate Foreign Exchange trader with Commonwealth Bank in the 1990s. She has an MBA from Melbourne Business School, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance (Finsia) and an Arts Degree from Monash University.

Amanda has a strong sense of community which she expresses through her philanthropic pursuits including committee membership of Red Cross Australia’s Tiffany’s Circle and committee membership of the newly opened Melbourne campus of Giant Steps School for Children with Autism.

Haseda Fazlic

Regional General Manager
Queensland & Asia

Haseda was appointed Regional General Manager Queensland & Asia for Commonwealth Private in July 2016. Prior to this, she held the role of General Manager Queensland for Regional and Agribusiness Banking for four years.

Haseda has worked in the financial services industry for over 23 years and has held several senior positions across the CBA group.

She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Diploma of Financial Planning, both from Deakin University. Haseda is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) and since 2013, she has been a board member on Deakin University’s MBA Advisory Board.
