What is Ceba?

Ceba (see-bah) is a trained chatbot that can give you instant support online, so you don’t need to call us or visit a branch. Ceba can answer a range of your day-to-day banking questions, show you how to do your banking online and point you in the right direction if you need additional support by connecting you to a human via message or phone.

How to chat to Ceba

In the CommBank app (on your phone)

  1. Log on to the CommBank app
  2. Tap the Ceba icon at the top-right corner on the CommBank app home screen

In NetBank (on your desktop)

  1. Log on to NetBank
  2. Ceba lives in the chat tab, on the upper right-hand side in NetBank

Connect with a human

As a virtual assistant, Ceba is quick, responsive and there whenever you need help. Nothing replaces the human touch though – and Ceba knows that.

Ceba will let you know when it’s better that you chat to a human – and give you the right info so you can get in touch with the right team.

There are a few ways that Ceba can put you in touch with a human:

  • Give you the right phone number to call 
  • Direct you to click to call in the CommBank app so your call is fast-tracked
  • Ask you to leave the humans a message and they’ll get back to you with a response. Make sure you have push notifications turned on to receive their reply!

Keeping your info private

Ceba lives behind your CommBank app and NetBank log on, so any personal info you share with Ceba stays private.
