How do I activate my included international travel insurance for each trip?

If you're a CommBank Gold, Platinum or Diamond credit card customer, you're eligible for included international travel insurance

No minimum spend required to be eligible.

 

You need to activate your included travel insurance each time before leaving Australia to receive comprehensive cover. You can do this online:

In NetBank:

  • Activate my travel insurance in NetBank (you'll be asked to log on to NetBank first)
  • You'll need to tell us your travel dates and destinations. This is also so our security team can keep an eye out for anything unusual on your account
  • You'll then be taken to the Cover-More site to complete the activation process where they need a few more details
  • Cover-More will email your Certificate of Insurance including your policy number and the Credit Card Insurances Product Disclosure Statement and Information Booklet
  • It may take up to 2 business days for your confirmed travel insurance to appear in NetBank and the CommBank app

How do I activate my insurance once I’ve left Australia? 

There’ll be a three day waiting period before you can receive the activated level of cover of your included travel insurance.1  

Call Cover-More on 1300 467 951 within Australia or +612 8907 5060 from overseas (8am-5pm Mon - Fri and 9am-4pm Sat, Sydney/Melbourne time). Call charges may apply.

What happens if I don’t activate my included travel insurance for each trip? 

You’ll receive only Base cover which includes personal liability cover and unlimited overseas medical assistance and hospital expenses.1
