What is CommBank Messaging?

You can message us through the CommBank app if you need any help with your banking, or have any questions about our products.

One of our specialists will reply to you as soon as possible, so make sure you have push notifications for the CommBank app turned on.

Just like when you’re texting a friend, you can message back when it suits you.

While you can message us with your banking questions, you may still need to call us for certain enquiries.

How does it work?

There are a few ways you can message us about your banking:

  • Make sure you have push notifications for the CommBank app turned on so you know when we reply
  • Chat with Ceba. If you need human help, Ceba can connect you with one
  • We’ll reach out to you with a message in your CommBank app if there’s something we want to talk to you about
  • If you’ve called us and are waiting on hold, we may offer you the option to message us so you don’t need to wait
  • Use the ‘Contact us’ option in the CommBank app. Just tap on the topic you need to contact us about and you’ll get connected directly to the right person as soon as they’re available

What are the benefits?

  • No waiting in queue. Once your message has been sent, you can carry on with your day and we’ll message you as soon as we can 
  • Your details are sent to us securely through the CommBank app
  • You can have multiple messages open at once
  • Easily find all your messages in one place

Your safety and security

Your messages with us are secure and encrypted to protect your information.

We’ll never ask you for your full account numbers, full debit or credit card numbers, card PINs, NetCode, or NetBank password (you should never share these with anyone). We may ask you for some other information to identify you when you chat with us.
