Application guidelines

    • You may only submit one application for the Summer Internship and Graduate Program. However, you’ll be able to select up to three Program preferences in your application
    • When completing your application, you’ll be required to select one area of interest. Based on your selected area of interest, you’ll then be able to select up to three program preferences. Please refer to the table under “application links” for further details. If you do not have a preference, you may select “I have no preference"
    • Multiple applications per candidate will not be considered as we want to ensure a fair and consistent process for all applicants
    • All available Campus Program roles are listed in the table below. We will not be recruiting for any unlisted Programs. Please ensure you do not select an unlisted Program in your application form as these will be disregarded and we will revert to your next preference if applicable
    • For our 2022/23 Global Markets Summer Analyst Program, please apply through the Summer Intern link. The Global Markets Summer Analyst Program will appear in multiple areas of interest. Applications for the Global Market Summer Analyst Program close on the 29th July 2022 at 11:59pm (Syd/Melb time). All applications received after this date for the Global Market Summer Analyst Program will not be considered, and instead we will defer to your other preferences
    • For the Bankwest Technology Graduate Program, please apply through the Graduate Program link below. Please select the “Engineering” area of interest where you will then be able to select “Bankwest” as your preferred Program

Eligibility criteria

  • Please remember that you must meet our minimum eligibility criteria in order to apply for our Programs.

    Summer Internship Program & Global Markets Summer Analyst Program

    • You are an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident at the time of your application (essential)
    • You are a New Zealand citizen already residing in Australia, and an Australian resident for tax purposes at the time of your application (essential)
    • You are in your penultimate year (second last year) of your university degree, or if you are doing a double degree, you must be in your penultimate year of your overall studies (essential)
    • You are achieving at least a credit average across your university degree (essential)

    Graduate Program

    • You are an Australian/ New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident at the time of your application (essential)
    • You are in your final year of your university degree, or have completed your final subject in the last 12 months (essential)
    • You are achieving at least a credit average across your university degree (essential)

Areas of interest: The role type that a specific Program sits under based on the nature and type of work. 

Programs: The available Summer Intern and Graduate Programs that CommBank will be recruiting for. Each Program is unique in experience. Further information can be found on our website. You’ll notice there are some Streams against each Program listed in the table below. These Streams will not appear on the application form, however the Program associated to it will. For example, Business Banking (Program) - Relationship Management (Stream).

The Campus Team will review your overall application to determine the Program and Stream that aligns closest to your interests and skill sets. If you reach the Assessment Centre, the Campus Team will connect with you to advise the specific Program you’ll be considered for.
