Our Career Transition Program is a paid Program for professionals who are seeking a pivot in their career and want to experience a rewarding pathway within Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M). The Program is open to individuals with 2-6 years’ professional experience practicing Law, Finance, Accounting, Consulting, Engineering or Mathematics.
Run over 12 months, candidates will join the Program at the Senior Associate level and experience 2 x 6 month rotations in a business area aligned to their interests.
At the completion of the Program, candidates who have demonstrated their abilities and motivation to succeed will be eligible to apply for a permanent Senior Associate position.

Participants in the Career Transition Program will have the chance to work across the wide range of teams within IB&M. Each participant will work with a dedicated mentor and program manager to identify their teams of interest for the 2 x 6 month rotations.
IB&M made up of our Global Client Solutions (GCS) and Global Markets (GM) business, which are both supported by our Chief Operating Office (COO), Quants, Data, Analytics & Tech (QDAT) and Non-Financial Risk & Conduct (NFR&C) teams.
Global Client Solutions
GCS within IB&M leads banking relationship management and provides transaction banking, risk management and capital solutions to their clients. The team’s purpose is to provide IB&M clients with solutions across the financing spectrum to support their strategic objectives.
GCS operates across five ecosystems:
1. Future Cities powered by Smart Networks: Real estate, infrastructure, utilities, telecommunications, technology, media and health.
2. Intelligent Finance: Funds, diversified financial institutions, insurance, private equity.
3. Future Resources: Oil and gas, mining, renewables.
4. Efficient Supply Chains: Agriculture, manufacturing, logistics and retail.
5. Connected Services: Banks, government and education.
GCS also has a dedicated Sustainable Finance / ESG team and Transactional Banking Solutions that partner with each of our teams, who are all supported by the GCS COO.
Global Markets
GM is responsible for all the Bank’s sales and trading activities within global financial markets. They work hand in hand with GCS across all ecosystems to help our clients navigate financial risks, manage portfolios and optimise their performance.
Global Markets offerings include all Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Fixed Income and Interest Rate products; all supported by the Chief Operating Office (COO).
Other IB&M teams
Opportunities are also available within our QDAT function. Our QDAT function combines key technical capabilities to drive the IB&M strategy. It includes a range of teams including portfolio and client analytics; quantitative solutions and quantitative infrastructure; global Economics and Markets Research; IB&M Data Office; Project Management Office; and Systematic Markets.
There are also opportunities within in our IB&M NFR&C team, which is a central, Line 1 team of risk professionals supporting IB&M to achieve better risk and customer outcomes. The team supports the global IB&M business to identify and manage non-financial risks, comply with regulatory obligations, and embed a customer centric and market integrity approach to activities.

Your interview process will involve 3 x 30 minute panel discussions with selected representatives from IB&M. Interviews will be held in early December 2021.
Successful candidates will receive news of their offer by mid-December 2021.
