For customers of the Meridien Wealth business prior to 22 June 2012 and Commonwealth Financial Planning

You may be aware of recent media attention involving some former planners which resulted in the Commonwealth Bank Group paying compensation to affected customers to put those customers in the place they would have been had they received appropriate advice. 

We have a process to contact affected customers to inform them that they were customers of these advisers, and to confirm our assessment of the advice they received and any compensation they have received. Affected customers will be offered up to $5,000 towards the cost of independent advice from a qualified lawyer, accountant or financial planner to review our assessment of past advice.
