Common reasons why your reader isn't connecting

Bluetooth connection 

Your Bluetooth connection is disabled or you're connected to another device.
 
What to do:
 
  • Go to your device settings
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled
  • Check that no other Bluetooth device is connected

Reader power & battery

The Smart Mini reader is turned off or has low battery.

What to do:

  • Press the power button on your Smart Mini reader to check it's turned on and fully charged
  • If no LED lights show, the reader is off. If four white LED lights show, it's fully charged

App connection

The Smart Mini app may need a restart.

What to do:

  • Close the Smart Mini app
  • Reopen the app and try connecting again
