Public and Products Liability

As a tradie, it's important to protect your business against injury to others and property damage.

Public and Products Liability cover can provide your business with protection for legal costs and compensation if a third party is injured or their property is damaged in connection with your business.*

This can include the situation where a client s property was damaged while you are working on site, or injury to a member of the public occurs arising from your business activities for which you become legally liable to pay compensation.

General Property

  2. Business Insurance claims are required in writing. It's easiest to do this online.
  3. Once you've completed the online claim with Hollard, you will receive confirmation of your claim and the claim team will advise you of next steps.

Cover is only for property which was purchased by, and used in service of, your business. Tools and property owned by employees, including their personal property, are not covered.

No, Business Insurance does not cover loss of income. It is specifically designed to cover third party injuries or damage to property caused by the business.

The cost of Business Insurance depends on several risk factors, including the type of work that you do, size of your business, the level and type of cover that you need and the likelihood of a claim.

Proof of insurance usually refers to a document that shows that you have an active insurance policy in place. A Certificate of Currency can usually provide this proof of insurance. If you require a Certificate of Currency, contact Hollard by phone on 13 1361.

You can pay your Business Insurance annually upfront. We do not currently offer monthly instalments.
