Savings rate changes

We are making a variety of increases across select savings products effective 9 October 2026, including the following:

NetBank Saver

The NetBank Saver standard variable rate for new and existing customers is increasing from 2.10% p.a. to 2.30% p.a.

The NetBank Saver variable introductory rate1 is increasing from 5.20% p.a. to 5.50% p.a. The variable introductory rate is only available to new to NetBank Saver customers.

Only the standard variable rate will apply if bonus interest conditions aren't met.

You can log on to the CommBank app or NetBank to see the current interest rate for your Savings account or Term Deposit. Or alternatively, you can go to our account pages below to see the most up-to-date rates.

How to check your interest rate

You can check the interest rate for your savings accounts in the CommBank app or NetBank.

For the CommBank app:

  1. Log on and go to 'Accounts'
  2. Select your savings account
  3. Tap on 'Manage', then 'Rates'.

Things you should know

1 Any customer opening their first NetBank Saver from today will receive a variable introductory interest rate for the first 5 months after account opening. The variable introductory rate includes a fixed bonus margin and the NetBank Saver standard variable interest rate. At the end of the introductory rate period, the NetBank Saver standard variable interest rate applicable at that time will apply. This introductory rate offer is available for a limited time only and the Bank reserves the right to terminate this offer at any time. The variable introductory interest rate will not apply to NetBank Saver accounts which are jointly owned where one of the account holders has previously held a NetBank Saver account.

2 Total variable rate with bonus interest applies when you grow your balance each calendar month (excluding interest payments and transactions initiated by the Bank) and comprises of a Standard Variable Rate and a Bonus Variable Interest Rate. Only the standard variable rate will apply if the bonus interest conditions aren't met. Rates are subject to change
