Helpful tips

Will my account number change?

No. You’ll keep the same account number and BSB, so you can continue to see all your past transactions in NetBank and the CommBank app.

What if I have other accounts linked to my card?

Any CommBank accounts you’ve linked to your card will be automatically linked to your new Platinum Debit card when you activate it.

What happens to my direct debits?

  • You’ll keep the same account number and BSB when you upgrade, so if your direct debits are attached to your account number, you don’t need to do anything
  • If you’ve set up direct debits simply switch them over to your new card. Our switching service can help you get started or simply contact your merchant
  • Always set up the direct debits using your BSB and account number. That way you won’t have to update your direct debits each time you receive a new card.
