What can I do if my Travel Money Card is not working at a particular merchant or ATM?

If you are overseas and your card doesn't work at a particular merchant or ATM, please check that:

You are using the correct PIN with the correct card.

Your card has been activated. If you purchased your card in branch, your card will be already active. If you purchased your card via NetBank or it is a replacement card you will need to activate and set up a 4-digit PIN for each card.

  • You are using a Visa/MasterCard ATM. If it is not a Visa/MasterCard ATM, the card will not work.  Please check that the Visa/MasterCard logo is visible, and try another ATM. Go to the Visa/MasterCard website to find ATMs worldwide.
  • You are not trying to withdraw more than your available balance, exceeding your daily usage limit or exceeding the ATM withdrawal limit as set by the local ATM provider.
