Help & support
We aim to maintain a First Nations-led approach to the delivery of our reconciliation priorities and are guided by ongoing engagement with our Indigenous Advisory Council (IAC) and internal Indigenous Leadership Team (ILT). As external Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders, our IAC members bring important perspectives to inform our approach to reconciliation. The ILT strengthens First Nations ways of knowing and being, with members appointed based on their strong cultural leadership, community connections and contribution to delivering the Bank’s reconciliation priorities.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) program has helped us take meaningful action since 2008. Through our FY26-28 Elevate RAP, we are committed to being a trusted partner to First Nations peoples as they pursue their social, cultural and economic aspirations. Our RAP focuses on strengthening relationships with First Nations communities, providing meaningful career opportunities, supporting First Nations business growth, and improving access to banking products and services.
We aim to attract and grow First Nations talent, by continuing to provide a compelling employee value proposition and offering tailored support and a culturally safe environment for First Nations employees to grow their careers at CommBank. To achieve this, we aim to recruit at least 150 First Nations peoples each year. We are also focused on offering meaningful employment and development opportunities at all career stages, so more First Nations peoples choose to grow their careers at CBA.
All First Nations employees are welcome to join the Indigenous Employee Network, known as One.Mob. This network aims to be a safe space for First Nations colleagues to connect with each other and discuss topics that may relate to First Nations employees, their families and communities.
We aim to improve access to banking by offering culturally safe, affordable, and appropriate products and services. In doing so, we can help support First Nations peoples to build long-term and intergenerational wealth. We recognise the health, stability and wellbeing benefits of home ownership. Our Home Lending specialists support customers throughout the home-buying journey, from budgeting through to end-to-end application guidance.

We understand the importance of financial inclusion for remote First Nations communities, which is why we have developed the First Nations Reach program.
CBA representatives visit specific communities up to four times per financial year, offering support and assistance in a wide range of areas, including:
We understand that access to culturally relevant financial education can play an important role in supporting the long-term financial wellbeing for First Nations peoples.
CBA is collaborating with First Nations Foundation to provide national access to their My Money Dream financial education program. My Money Dream is a culturally designed program built by First Nations peoples, for First Nations peoples. The program is freely available to all First Nations peoples, including those who do not bank with CBA, and is designed for learners aged 16 to 60, as well as community organisations and support workers.
My Money Dream focuses on practical, everyday financial topics that many communities have identified as priorities, including budgeting, saving, managing debt, navigating family financial responsibilities, and understanding scams and fraud.
When it comes to business banking, we believe a strong relationship allows us to provide better support and the right products and services to meet the needs of First Nations businesses. Recognising the unique needs of First Nations businesses, our Indigenous Business Banking team, along with our Business Banking specialists, are working to strengthen engagement with First Nations businesses.
Suppliers play an important role in helping us achieve our purpose and strategic ambition. We are committed to supporting the growth and prosperity of businesses that reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. We have partnered with Supply Nation since 2009 to deliver our First Nations Supplier Diversity Program, which aims to provide greater economic participation and self-determination opportunities for First Nations businesses in urban and regional Australia.
