Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards
The Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards have been created to recognise and reward excellent teaching and school leadership. They have been formed in partnership with Schools Plus, with the Awards being given to teachers and school leaders that are transforming the lives of their students, particularly those in disadvantaged communities.
Each year, the Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards will reward 12 Australian teachers with a Teaching Fellowship, valued at $45,000. Each Fellowship Award comprises $10,000 for professional development, $30,000 for a strategic project at the teacher’s school, and $5,000 for participation in a year-long program that includes a group visit to a high performing education system overseas.Learn more

Investing in education
We are partnering with the University of New South Wales to develop a centre of excellence for cyber security education aimed at boosting the nation’s supply of high-quality security engineering professionals.
We support programs to develop capabilities amongst women in the sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM industries), helping them to expand their career options.
In partnership with Microsoft Australia and Datacom, and using a network of trained law enforcement members, the ThinkUKnow program provides free cyber safety education to parents, carers and teachers through schools and other organisations across Australia.
