How it works

You can easily, safely and securely complete your personal and business banking transactions at Bank@Post post offices, such as withdrawals, deposits and cash exchanges and bill payments2, including passbooks during normal business hours.

CommBank customers can also use Australia Post’s ‘Cash Exchange’ service of up to $1,000 at participating post offices (a flat fee applies).

Banking for personal customers

CommBank cards and Passbooks

  • Deposit up to $6,000 a day3 (cash and coin)4
  • Withdraw up to $2,0003 a day with your card, or over a 7–day period with your Passbook

Cheque deposits

  • Allow up to 7 days for cheque deposits to be cleared

Credit cards

  • Repayments up to $6,000 a day3
  • Cash advances up to $2,000 a day3.

Banking for business customers

CommBank Business cards

  • Withdraw up to $2,000 a day3

Deposit Only cards or Barcoded Deposit Slips:

  • Deposit up to $6,000 a day (cash and coin)4
  • Deposits made using a barcoded deposit slip are available the next business day.

Protecting your personal information

We take our responsibility to protect your privacy and security seriously, and have a range of security capabilities to keep your information safe. Australia Post staff are also trained to adhere to strict security and cash management practices.

Our 100% security guarantee covers any loss due to unauthorised transactions on your accounts. To be covered, you must protect your cards, devices, client numbers, PINs, passwords and any other access methods. You also need to immediately notify us of their loss, theft, misuse or any suspicious activity on your account.
