What you'll need

  • Bulk settlement uploads activated in IPFX
  • Permission to import files and attach settlement instructions to an FX trade
  • The IPFX file you'd like to import

    Note: To activate bulk settlements uploads in CommBiz IPFX, contact the FX Centre on 1300 222 339

Create a bulk settlements file

  • You can create a bulk settlements file in a Comma Separated Values (CSV) format. To do this, follow the CommBiz IPFX Bulk Settlement Upload file specifications. Call the FX Centre on 1300 222 339 for the most recent file specifications.

Upload the IPFX file

Important: The file must be in the correct IPFX format. The file can be extracted from your accounting software or created manually as a CSV format file.

  1. Log on to CommBiz, then select File Transfer
  2. From the dropdown, select Foreign Exchange Settlements as the file type
  3. Select Choose file, then Open
  4. Select Import File to upload

View bulk uploads in IPFX

After importing the file:
 
  1. Go to Payments and select International Payments & FX
  2. On the IPFX Dashboard, select Bulk Settlement List to find any imported bulk settlement files
From the bulk settlement list, select the file name to view the details and begin funding the settlements from an existing or new FX trade.
 
For existing FX trades:
 
  1. Select FX Trades to fund from an outstanding trade
  2. Select Submit to finalise the FX trade

    After submitting the request, you'll receive a green notification indicating that your transaction has been successful and is now awaiting authorisation.
For new FX trades:
 
  1. Select Request Quote to fund from a new FX trade
  2. Review the rates and select Accept Quote or Cancel Quote
  3. Once the quote is accepted, select Submit to finalise the FX trade

    After submitting the request, you'll receive a green notification indicating that your transaction has been successful and is now awaiting authorisation.

Review & authorise

  1. Go to Payments, then select International Payments & FX
  2. In the IPFX dashboard, select Authorisations
  3. Select Outstanding FX Settlements, then select the trade you'd like to authorise
  4. Authorise the trade using your credentials

    Note: If multiple authorisers are required, remind them to complete their authorisation before the relevant currency cut-off times.
