About Portable Contents Cover

How it works

Choose between Packaged and Customised Cover, or a combination of both, to cover items you take away from home.

Here’s how they work:

  • Packaged Cover is designed to cover items that are worth up to $1,000, without you having to tell us about them upfront. For example, you might choose this to cover items you keep in your bag that change on a daily basis, like sunglasses, or to cover other non-specific items like a tent or surfboard. Each item is insured for up to $1,000 and you're able to choose a maximum claim limit, which is the most amount of money we'll pay in any one claim.
  • Customised Cover provides cover both at and away from the home. It is designed to cover items like engagement rings, designer watches and cameras for their replacement value. Each item you want to cover is listed individually including a detailed description.

You might choose both Covers if you’d like to insure a combination of items.
