Does my Car Insurance cover injury to my pet?

When we have agreed to pay a claim under an Insured Event, we will also cover reasonable veterinary expenses up to $1,000, if a domestic dog or cat is injured as a result of a collision, impact damage or fire. We will not cover the costs incurred after the death of a pet, nor will we cover costs when they are not secured or restrained at the time of the incident. The pet needs to be owned by the:
- a family member; or
- a declared driver
You can make a claim online, or by calling us on 13 2423 between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, or 8am to 5pm, Saturday (Sydney/Melbourne time).
