Last updated 27 June 2018

You get charged every time you withdraw cash from an ATM or pay for items with your Debit Mastercard or Keycard overseas or where there is an overseas connection.

Withdrawals or balance enquiries using ASB Bank ATMs in New Zealand or Commonwealth Bank ATMs outside Australia: AUD$2.00 each

International transaction fee: 3% of the transaction value.

The international transaction fee applies to transactions in a foreign currency or Australian dollars made while you are overseas or in Australia (for example via the internet) where there is an overseas connection as the merchant or financial institution or entity processing the transaction is located overseas.

Any other cash withdrawal overseas: AUD5.00 plus 3% of the transaction value.

Keycards issued after June 11 2018 can no longer be used to make purchases at point of sale overseas. However, you'll still be able to withdraw funds from overseas ATMs, where Cirrus is accepted.
