Why didn’t the recipient receive the full amount I sent through an International money transfer?
Last updated 28 November 2016
When you send an International Money Transfer (IMT), the overseas banks may deduct processing fees from the amount you transfer, which could result in the recipient receiving less than the amount you intend.
When sending your IMT, you can choose to pay an overseas bank fee to cover these deductions - this is in addition to the amount you want to send and ensures the recipient will receive the exact amount of your choice. Paying this fee is optional and available through branch and CommBiz only. Please note this option is only available for certain countries and currencies.
