Where you’ll be finding the answers to some of Australia’s biggest customer challenges. With rich data at your fingertips, you’ll be joining a team of expert problem-solvers who aren’t afraid of the unfamiliar.

Our Analytics Program is designed to build future leaders with a deep understanding of the business. You could find a future as an Insights Analyst supporting the Product and Channel teams in Retail Banking Services.

You'll gain an understanding of the importance of data and the influence it has on the direction of the business.

Throughout the Program, you’ll develop your skills to enhance your technical capability through the use of analytical tools such as R, SQL, SAS and Teradata, alongside vast datasets to develop and deliver actionable insights.

Your rotations

Our 18-month Program includes 3x6 rotations. We'll work with you to place you in areas that align with your development goals and interests. Your rotations could include everything from Insights Analytics, Exception Reporting & Controls and Reporting & Visualisation to Customer Communications & Offers.

You’ll have the opportunity to complete three unique Retail Banking Services (RBS) experiences outside of your rotations. This includes:

  • Three weeks in our frontline branch and call centre team
  • One week risk experience
  • Five weeks learning design thinking methodologies to solve unique, real business problems

Your development & experience

You’ll have many professional development opportunities during your Program. These include interactive masterclasses, training courses and grad conferences with inspiring key note speakers. You’ll be exposed to topics such as emotional intelligence, resilience and leading through change.

And of course you'll get hands-on experience with data management and delivery techniques.

Data Science

Working on solving some of the most complex data centric problems facing today's businesses.

You'll be on the frontline of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) revolution, driving innovative, data-led solutions and approaches. You’ll help deliver a customer centric approach, managing and strengthening customer relationships.

You’ll have an impact on leading Australia’s recovery from recent global events, creating world-leading digital experiences and technology that impacts social change.

Whether you want to help turn numbers into something meaningful for our customers, build and enhance quantitative and predictive models to support insights, or use our leading technology to extract incredible data - you can do it all at CommBank. 

Your rotations

Our flexible 12–18 month Program offers you a tailored experience over 2x3 rotations - we'll support you in navigating our vast tech ecosystem. You can gain exposure in decision and behavioural science, quantitative & predictive modelling, AI & machine learning (ML), data engineering, and more. 

Your development and experience

You'll be supported and empowered by industry-leading teams to shape your career. Our data scientists are known across the industry for their incredible thought leadership and experience. You’ll gain access to world-class technical and development resources to help you expand your skills. You’ll join a huge network of tech Graduates, supported by managers focused on your personal and professional growth.

This Program will have Graduates based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
