Digital

(Retail Banking Services)

Where you can strive for digital excellence and provide exceptional customer experience. 

Our program is designed to set you up for success in a range of different career paths within the Digital team. You could land a role in one of the following areas at the end of your program such as Business Analysis, User Experience Design (UX), Visual Design (UI), User Experience Research, Digital Strategy, Digital Operations, Digital Risk, Digital Analytics, Organisational Change Management, Content & Publishing or Digital Journey Optimisation.

You'll form part of a team that’s responsible for bringing together the Group’s digital touchpoints to create a consistently exceptional customer experience. As a team, you'll be focused on innovating, building and operating digital interactions for our customers.

Your rotations

During our 18-month program, you'll complete three rotations, exposing you to skill-building opportunities and paving the way for a dynamic and successful career. We'll work with you throughout the program to place you into areas that excite you and align with your development goals.

In addition to your rotations, you’ll complete three unique Retail Banking Services experiences:

  • Three weeks in our frontline branch and call centre team
  • A one week risk experience with senior leaders
  • Five weeks learning design thinking methodologies to solve unique, real business problems

The program includes multiple professional development opportunities such as interactive in person masterclasses, learning bytes, training courses and our Group wide graduate conferences. You’ll be exposed to topics such as emotional intelligence, agile working and stakeholder management.

Retail Banking – Product & Support

(Retail Banking Services)

Where you’ll support millions of Australians to buy their own homes, open their own businesses, protect and grow their assets.

Our program is designed to set you up for success in a range of different career paths within Retail Banking Services (RBS). Teams you could land in beyond your program include Product Management, Retail Strategy, Customer Insights, Safe & Seamless Payments, Customer Service Network Communications and Risk Management.

You'll be working on setting the strategy for our products, delivering a world-class banking app, analysing insights about our customers to enhance our offerings, improving end-to-end processes and managing emerging risks.

Your rotations 

During our 18-month program you'll complete three rotations. You’ll start in a core product team such as Home Buying, Deposits & Transaction Accounts, Credit Cards or Personal Loans to deliver exceptional products to our customers. In your second rotation, you’ll work in a different product area such as Pricing, Acquisition or Retention. In your final rotation you’ll work in a strategy team or a specialisation of your choice which could be across our Digital or Analytics teams. Here you can explore areas that align most to your passions and development goals.

CommSec

Being dedicated to helping Australian's invest with confidence. You’ll be part of a collaborative team of innovators, creating easy-to-use tools, which put customers in control of their investment decisions.

Dive into the world of investing, with opportunities to experience specialised areas such as product, digital, customer experience, risk management and broking & markets, with a guaranteed analyst role at the end of your Program.

Get a behind the scenes look into how the CommSec apps, website, products and services empower more Australians to grow their wealth. We'll invest in you by giving you direct exposure to senior leaders, opportunities to work on key business initiatives, and meaningful input in addressing key customer problems.

Your rotations 

Our flexible 12–15 month program will see you rotating across three to four teams. You’ll develop your knowledge and expertise within the CommSec and broader Business Banking teams. 

Your development & experience

With a dedicated Program Manager, grad alumni mentors and experienced rotation managers, we'll guide you to ensure your success, every step of the way. You’ll be empowered to develop your technical skills, commercial acumen, stakeholder influencing and relationship building capabilities to set you up for success.

You’re a critical thinker with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for providing exceptional customer outcomes. Innately curious and socially aware, you’re someone who thrives on change, takes uncertainty in their stride, and can discover new ways of thinking to commercialise products, services and solutions.

Product Development

(Business Banking)

Developing our banking products and services today, to meet the needs of our business customers tomorrow. You’ll be part of a team aspiring to build Australia's number one Business Bank by developing unique customer solutions.  

You’ll experience direct exposure to the development of new propositions, in-life product lifecycle management and uplifting our customer experiences. At the end of your program you’ll transition into an Analyst role with us.  

You’ll make a difference to our customers by helping develop an unrivalled end-to-end customer experience. You’ll be supporting a full spectrum of customers’ needs from start-up businesses, to some of Australia's largest institutional business clients. 

Your rotations

Our flexible 12-15 month program will see you rotating across three to four teams. You’ll develop your knowledge and expertise within specialised product teams such as Digital, Health, Payments, Everyday Business Banking, Business Lending and Analytics, Data and Decision Science. 

Your development & experience

With a dedicated Program Manager, graduate alumni mentors and experienced rotation managers – you’ll have a community of support every step of the way. You’ll be empowered to grow your commercial and product acumen, meet with our customers, shadow our leaders and be a part of teams creating world-class propositions for our Business Banking customers.

You’re customer-centric, innovative and like to think outside the box. You bring an analytical mindset to problem solving, can clearly articulate your knowledge, and breakdown your ideas to suit your audience.
