As part of Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M), Global Markets is responsible for the trading and sales activities in financial markets encompassing all foreign exchange, commodities, fixed income and interest rate products.
Our teams are organised along the functions of sales, trading and enabling activities and operate in all key offshore locations including Europe, Asia and the United States.

The global marketplace is as diverse as our client base. As such, we need a range of talent from a broad range of academic backgrounds and experience.
The Global Markets Summer Analyst roles are ideal for students who are passionate about working in the Global Financial Markets. The Program will provide you with the opportunity to join one of our teams listed above, however you’ll also gain exposure to a number of other teams across Global Markets through dedicated learning sessions, desk sits, networking events with senior leaders, trading simulation games and much more.
In this 10-week Program, starting around late November, you’ll become part of a collaborative and inclusive trading floor and take on meaningful and tangible work. Your day-to-day tasks will vary depending on the area:

Alongside extensive training and networking opportunities, you’ll be supported by a buddy and dedicated Program Manager, who’ll work with your team and Manager to ensure your success throughout the Program.

Our leaders come from a wide variety of backgrounds – Arts, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, French History and Mechanical Engineering to name a few. We’re not looking for specific degree disciplines, rather we are seeking capabilities that are highly transferable into the day-to-day work we do.

Successful applicants will commence the Global Markets Summer Analyst Program in late November – early December each year.
