About Marketing

We’re responsible for developing, driving and executing a range of strategies to promote our brand, products and services to our 10+ million retail and business customers. As well as creating innovative, best-in-market work, we also constantly strive to find new ways to introduce market-leading innovations to customers and leverage our social media channels.

Our programs

  • Graduate Program

    As part of this 18-month structured Graduate Program, you’ll have the chance to be involved with developing, driving and executing a range of strategies to promote the CommBank brand, products and services to our retail and business customers. You’ll work with world-class partners, including creative and media agencies, and experience cutting-edge marketing practices.

    Throughout the program you’ll get to experience working in four different Marketing teams, giving you a holistic experience and an in-depth understanding of multiple areas within the broader marketing function.

    • During your first rotation you’ll work in a product or segment marketing team working with either our retail or business customers. In this rotation you’ll be exposed to a range of ATL or BTL marketing campaigns.
    • During your second rotation you’ll work in a marketing team in Brand Strategy, Brand Communications or Customer Strategy, learning what it takes to build a great brand and be a world-class marketer.
    • Marketing sits within the broader Marketing & Corporate Affairs Business Unit at CommBank, so during your third rotation you’ll work in one of our Corporate Affairs teams. Whether it’s internal communications, government relations or corporate responsibility, this rotation will give Marketing graduates the opportunity to build broader networks and gain further corporate communication skills and experience.     • During your fourth rotation you can choose a specialisation, including team options such as:
      • Social Media

      • Market Research
      • Customer Analytics

      • Events
      • Operations

    Your program also includes multiple development experiences outside of your rotations. These include two weeks working with our frontline staff, two weeks understanding how to work with and manage risk, and finally five weeks undertaking a design-thinking workshop, solving real problems facing the bank.

    This 10-week program gives you exposure across our diverse business. You’ll receive training and networking opportunities, be supported by a buddy and have the chance to contribute meaningfully to our business.

     We have roles available in Sydney for the Marketing Program.
